Wide prime lenses are lenses from about 20mm to about 35mm (35mm equivalent). They are often fast and easy to hand-hold, and can be extremely sharp. Wide primes are considered general use for anything from full-body portraits, to landscapes, to street photography. (First published Aug 11, 2011)
