If you have both an unused rolling toolbox and an ever-growing lens collection that needs a better home, here’s an idea: you can convert one or more of the toolbox’s shelves into padded storage for your lenses.
That’s what the folks over at the video hosting company Wistia did recently with a 7-drawer Husky toolbox. Here’s a short video on why and how they did it:
“Our goal was to get all of our camera gear organized in one place, so we Googled and Googled, but we couldn’t find a solution aside from a big Pelican case or a backpack,” Wistia writes.
Their new rolling lens storage solution is one that can be wheeled around a studio as needed, and the foam padding and rubber drawer liners help keep your precious glass safely and securely in place.
