Photoville is taking over Brooklyn Bridge Plaza

Join us at Brooklyn Bridge Park for one of our favorite events! Photoville opens the night of Wednesday, October 21 through Sunday, October 25 and is entirely free. Check out the modular shipping containers, featuring exhibitions such as “On the Street with Bill Cunningham,” presented by The New York Times; “Political Theater,” by Mark Peterson; “Bodies We Want 2016” from ESPN The Magazine’s Body Issues; and our own PDN container featuring the winners of the 2016 Exposure Award.

There are workshops and seminars each day, and nightly events hosted by media brands like National Geographic, The New York Times and PBS—plus a Beer Garden with Brooklyn Brewery brews and food vendors from Smorgasburg. On opening night, a “photographic throw down” called Battle of the Boroughs will take place, pitting experts from NYU, VICE, Travel + LeisureTIME and Bronx Documentary Center against each other to curate the best representation of their assigned borough.

And, don’t miss our very own Holly Hughes giving a walking tour of exhibitions at 2 p.m. on Sunday, followed by PDN’s 30: Advice for Emerging Photographers from Emerging Photographers at 4 p.m.
