A Meditation on Hong Kong

Pictures of Hong Kong often emphasize its bustling streets and awe-inspiring high rises, but photographer Kiu Ka Yee‘s ode to the city is imbued with a sense of quiet and stillness. Yee says: “Hong Kong is changing so fast without us even realizing it. [This is] a project about memories, relationship and home.” The images capture the soft pastels and natural light in Hong Kong, and feature solitary portraits of Yee’s friends as they explore the city.

Kiu Ka Yee was recognized with an Honorable Mention in the previous PDNedu Student Photo Contest. Enter your work for 2017 at contest.pdnedu.com.
