Photographer and educator Ben Sasso was shooting on the aptly named Windy Point on Mt. Lemmon in Tuscon, Arizona, when he captured this romantic portrait of couple Robert and Christina—founders of the fashion, travel and lifestyle blog New Darlings. The wind was blowing strong as Sasso snapped the shutter, and instead of fighting the elements, he says the wind created “the perfect little injection of movement and life.”
“On my shoots I do my best to embrace whatever is thrown at us—wind, snow, rain, etc.” says the Rf 30 Rising Star from 2012. “Making sure that the hair is falling perfectly isn’t quite as fun as letting it flail in whichever direction the wind wants to take it.”
