Rangefinder online: Confiding in Light

“Erika got ready at her parent’s home, which had this one room with Northeast-facing windows, and the light was great in there because it was so dynamic,” say Aaron and Whitney Durall. The two are self-professed fans of film and TV scenes that involve characters in confessional because of the beautiful dappled light it creates. “When we saw the curtain pattern and the way the shadows and light were playing on a chair, we instantly knew we wanted to sit Erika down for a portrait. The goal was simple, and that was to create something reminiscent of a cinematic confessional scene.”
