Lodz, Poland-based portrait photographer Agata Serge embarked on a photo story with a model, stylist, makeup artist and two “brilliant assistants” that depicts a young woman moving from her countryside home into the city with “dreams about a big and impressive career,” Serge says.
“I remember the day we were working on this series very well,” she adds, “because it was really difficult. We shot this in December and the weather was really bad that day—negative 3 degrees and a lot of wind.”
With Serge’s serene black and white, and the cool composure of the model, you’d never guess.
