It was a challenge for Romanian-based photographer Felicia Simion to climb up the Carpathian mountains wearing this Isabelle Vijiac designer dress for a self-portrait shoot, but the images she and her husband created were well worth the trek. “We took this photo at sunset, which brought the landscape to life, emphasizing beautiful hues of yellow, orange and purple,” Simion says.
The couple was patient and waited for just the right moment when the flare was at its peak beauty and emphasized the vastness of the surroundings. Says the photographer, “What I like most about this photo are the curves of the mountains in the background, and how the colors change gradually. It creates a really nice depth effect.”
(Captured using a Canon 7D with a 28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 lens.)
