SVA Open Call for High School Photographers

The deadline is coming up for the School of Visual Arts‘ nationwide open call for high school students. Entering your work is free and the submission period will culminate in a group exhibition at the school’s Gramercy Gallery in New York City.

The theme of the open call is “America 2017.” SVA is welcoming all types of work, from the “overtly political and issue-oriented, to that which lends a very personal interpretation to life in the United States.” It adds: “Let us know who you are: what you are seeing and thinking, how you would define this vast country in the present, and what you feel about it.”

Entries are limited to five images, and at least one of each entry will be selected to exhibit. Enter your own work by October 1 at midnight to participate.

The exhibition will run from November 18-December 2 with a reception on Thursday, November 30 from 6-8PM.
