From what we've been told by Canon Customer Service and one of our contacts at a major photography gear retailer, the Canon instant and mail-in rebates that were set to expire Dec. 23 were extended through January 6 (Saturday). The "free battery grip with 5D Mark IV/6D II" bundles and 13 Months of Free CarePAK Plus protection for eligible purchases are also set to expire on the same day. The multiple lens mail-in rebates seem to have expired as scheduled on December 30. However, the PIXMA-PRO 100 Printer Bundle mail-in rebates have already cycled to a new program, with the new program mirroring the old program (excluding the riduclously discounted 5D IV/6D II deals) and scheduled to expire January 31.
Taking advantage of instant rebates while they are available is one of the easiest ways to save money on your gear investments, and there's never a guarantee that the instant savings will be extended (or remain the same values in the next rebate program, if there is one).
