Currently open at Pen + Brush in New York, 200 Women is a photography and video exhibition that highlights the stories of women around the world, some of them well known, and some of them not. Featured subjects include Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, Margaret Atwood, Jane Goodall, Gillian Anderson, and Ruth Bader Ginsburg, along with a domestic worker, a robotics engineer, and a Nepalese woman who sells cigarettes on the street.
Each woman was asked to pose for a photograph in front of a plain sheet of fabric; they were also asked five questions about what is most important to them in life. Presented by BMW Group, the project was highlighted at Frieze New York from May 4-6, 2018, and will be open at Pen + Brush through June 30. From there, the exhibition will travel to Boden, Sweden, and Munich, Germany. A
