ICP and Eyebeam Are Hosting a Free Daylong Symposium on Imagery In Today’s Hypermediated World

Entitled “Vision and Technology: toward a more just future,” the symposium will bring together artists, technologists and scholars to discuss questions such as “What does it mean for us to build toward just futures for our human and post-human selves?” and “How can visual technologies help both facilitate democratized representation and protect everyday security and privacy?”

The event will take place on Monday, May 14 from 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM at the Knockdown Center. An after party at Eyebeam will follow.

Speakers will center around women, members of the LGBTQ community, and people of color including Morehshin Allahyari, Stephanie Dinkins, Surya Mattu, Chloë Bass, Caroline Woolard, Harris Kornstein, Sarah Aoun, American Artist, Ramsey Nasser, Tonia B******, Mimi Onuoha, Harlo Holmes, Nora Khan, Ari Melenciano, and Salome Asega.
