Independent developer Konstantin Pavlikhin has released EOS Inspector 2, a follow-up to the very popular EOS Inspector app (which itself is a follow-up to the ShutterCount app from the same developer). EOS Inspector 2 allows Mac users to find out many details about their Canon cameras, such as:

EOS Inspector 2 is on sale now for $2.99 (regularly $4.99) and can be downloaded via the Apple App Store.
- Shutter count (including /excluding Live View shots with newer camera models)
- Serial number
- Battery charge level & possible shots
- Firmware version

The new EOS Inspector 2 was released in June and it is still being offered for a special price of $2.99. The new version is a free upgrade for all existing customers. The EOS Inspector app has no in-app purchases (I don’t charge per shutter actuations reading). The app is available for the flat price: you buy the app once and then free to use it with any EOS camera as many times as you want.
