A New Survey Asks Educators to Report on the Current State of Photography Education

Conducted by the Society for Photographic Education (SPE) and American Society of Media Photographers (ASMP), a new survey asks photography educators at all levels to report on current needs and trends in photography education. The survey, which is entirely multiple choice, and takes roughly 10 to 15 minutes to complete, aims to give educators and industry professionals insight into how to best serve students enrolled in photography programs.

The last such survey was conducted in 2012, and was used to initiate change in photography departments across the country. The results of the current survey will be reported at the 56th Annual Society for Photographic Education Conference, which will be held from March 7 through 10, 2019, in Cleveland, Ohio.
