At the time Gardner created the agency, she was pregnant, writing a lifestyle blog, and frustrated with the stereotypical and outdated images of colored women she found through other content providers.
Since 2015, CreateHER Stock has grown to include 2,500 images. According to Forbes, it has been profitable since its inception, growing at a rate of 12-23% every year.
