Mark Raymond Mason: Daily Photo Tip

If the wind is shaking your tripod and it's too dim to use a faster shutter speed, you might have to wait for the wind to calm. Be ready to make an exposure the second the wind dies down, but be prepared to wait for hours. (First published Sep 8, 2009)
