PetaPixel: Leaked: Canon Will Unveil the EOS R5, EOS R6 and Six New Lenses on July 9th

Canon Rumors came through in a big way this morning. After hearing a few different release dates and reporting on some upcoming products, the rumor site got their hands on a leaked image of the full EOS R lineup, and a specific release date for a whole bunch of exciting products.

You can see the photo of the lineup up top (click here for full res over on CR), including the much-rumored EOS R6 at the very front, and not one, not three, but six new lenses.

All of these products will apparently be announced “on or around” July 9th, in order to avoid any conflicts with the July 4th holiday in the US. On that day, expect to see the EOS R5, EOS R6, and six RF lenses: a 50mm f/1.8 IS STM, a 70-200mm f/4L IS USM, a 85mm f/2 Macro IS STM, a 100-500mm f/4-7.1L IS USM, a 600mm f/11 DO IS STM, and a 800mm f/11 DO IS STM. There will also be two new teleconverters, a 1.4x and 2x, for the RF mount.

Basically everything that Nokishita leaked last week, plus the two cameras we’ve all be waiting for with bated breath.

With Sony allegedly preparing to FINALLY release the a7S III, a 24-70mm f/2.8 lens, and one other camera at the end of this month, and Canon preparing to make a massive gear drop less than two weeks later, photographers have a lot to look forward to in the next few weeks. Stay tuned for more details as official announcements draw near.
